About time I updated this!

I lost my voice - actually couldnt talk. Not for long though, is coming back slowly. It got a rest from teaching use today at sports day. No voice = much frustration!

Oh dear.......my house came last in the athletics day. Not good, although to be honest after an absolutely fabulous day with superb weather and monitoring the gladiator beam challenge, it
made for a fun day.

There were still many smiles afterwards, although ................
there were a few sly comments from Jackson (green) house - must be the first time they didn't come last. There were also a few worries though when a tiger was spotted in the field.

My form class were awesome and did me proud, a few even getting in track finals. Ive grown to love my form class this year, they are a great group!

Wedding Updates

As not-kate has pointed out, the bridesmaids dresses were bought - three dresses for less than one at the original price - woo hoo has to be the bargain of the year, and now two out of three have tried them on, and if they don't attract the opposite sex, well I would be surprised!

We have booked the church - Anthony's old church where he went to the primary school, had first communion, was an altar boy and confirmed. Because of my non-Catholic religion choice, we have to meet with the Priest on Saturday and go through a programme in June/July. It's a little intimidating but should be an experience at the same time.

Reception venue is booked at the Petone Workingmans Club. Hiring a function room there. So far though, not the most helpful people, and seem surprised that both Anthony and I both work and cannot come in throughout the day, so hopefully get to go and have a good look on Saturday.

Oh oh my first Bridal show at Wallaceville House on Sunday - very excited!

Hopefully are going to take dance lessons next term at HVHS, get a free CD to practise to- should be hilarious, okay well from my side - Anthony can actually dance.

My favourite part of the weekend - I got a budgie!

On Saturday afternoon, a little budgie kept flying into our yard. Anthony decided to go on safari armed with a work shirt, bird seed and a box trap to catch it. He is now my pet - called Lil' B.

Very entertaining to watching and have decked him out with a super duper cage with lots of toys. Has become quite at home with P diddy (canary), Gus (green parrot) and brat (mutated cockateil from Wainui). One step along the pet path to a puppy I say. Lil' B definitely has personality.

Invites are out for the engagement party - my brother rocks! Did them completely himself, even drawing in the buterflies and branches! He got all the art talents! Thanks bro!

XTREME......

Schools back, so far no dramas - it is the second day. Honestly I needed to go back to work.....I was bored!!!

A lovely weekend was had, the weather cooled a little but the sun was still out!!
Saturday was spent doing an annoying addictive wasiji puzzle...its still going. It was also spent picking out wedding bands. We went to Stewart Dawsons, and the lady was so helpful!! She explained everything, and a couple of choices were picked out. So if you are ever in the market - I will recommend Stewart Dawsons in Queensgate, just lovely! Another bonus is that I now have someone to make my dress, so something else to tick off the ever growing list of things to do.
Saturday night was lovely at Kai in the City - a Maori restaurant as notkate has explained, good catch up and good food. I had the traditional hangi consisting of pork, chicken and lamb cutlets on a kumara mash with cress...mmm mmmm followed by some kumara pie and ice cream........yummy!!!

Sunday was catch up time with Ed who will shortly be moving to the basin end of Newtown. We ventured off to X- Air. Totally awesome - love the extreme sports especially the bmx and fmx. We figured we may have been in older age bracket attending, however with charging for tickets this year, it definitely stopped all the crowds and queues. A lot of school children there and even some hellos and hugs from ex-students, who would have thought????

The Booty Call Commandments

After hearing this on the radio last week, I thought I would share these to help those who want to have a successful booty call :)

Moses' Booty Call Commandments:
Thou shalt get out before the sun rises

Thou shouldest never ask "can we see each other from now on?"

Thou shalt refrain from referring to our activities as "lovemaking."

Thou shalt not request advanced plans.

Thou shalt kiss anywhere except my mouth.

Thou shalt scream my name often.

If someone cometh over whilst thou art here, thou art my cousin from out of town.

Thou shalt not ask me to walk thee to thy car.

Don't thou knoweth what that looketh like?

There shall be no "pillow talk."

There shall be no cuddling -- ever!

And my own point that I will make - If you develop feelings for said booty caller that are for more than the booty - booty calling will not work for you - there is no future - you want a relationship. Stop the booty calling, the caller will not want what you want and this will lead to you getting hurt. This is the time to find someone who wants to go in the same direction as you.

That is all for now!

On this day......

February 5th 1977 - 30 Years Ago.....my Mum and Dad got married in Brisbane, Australia. So today marks their Pearl Anniversary! Happy Anniversary Ma and Pa :)

The weekend brought more glorious weather, and more burning on top of last weeks effort...lovely. Friday night was spent outside with drinks by candle light on the back lawn with Ant, Aaron, and Laura. Good times, and amazing how one can be so entertained by fire and wax... sounds a little dodgy now that I have written it, but really you should know me better ;)

Saturday was spent mainly in the car on the road to Foxton to visit Ant's Nanna for an engagement lunch. It was nice, but a long way on a hot day. And well, there is not a lot to say about Foxton....nice windmill????

Sunday involved not a lot, but a trip to the red barn to get the gazebo for our engagement party....weeee I am getting more excited about the whole process now. Like a bull at the gate I started to assemble it for a trial run - needless to say instruction reading may not be my best skill, and resulted in partly dismantling it later so one could cover it with the canopy! Ok so I'm not that tall. It looks awesome with the extra side panels and with some ideas from Lynley for the decor and theme, it should be all good. Bring on April 7th! Oh and Ant and I have decided to bring the wedding forward to Frebruary 29th 2008 - In Ant's thinking - we only have to remember our anniversary every four years, so when others celebrate their 40th, we'll still be just getting to our 10th!
